my little hip hop artist.....

I couldn't convince him to be anything else, his heart was set on being a hip hop artist, gansta rapper...whatever you want to call it. Today when I was in his classroom and I looked at all the cute ninja's, harry potters, mario brothers, supermans, vampires etc and it made me wonder why??? Sometimes you just got to let a kid do his thing and he did. He had the baggy pants and boxers showing and everything. He didn't put in the gold tooth yet because I was afraid he might swallow it, so we are saving that for the real deal. Can you see Ethan in the background helping at the class party? He was very busy taking over all the games and making friends along the way.

and can you ever get enough of cute pumpkin patch pictures? Perhaps?

Poor, deprived last child wouldn't have seen the sight of a pumpkin patch if we hadn't stalked his friends preschool class and pretended we were part of the group. The big boys weren't begging to go to a pumpkin patch, so of course why bother? Good thing for preschool friends....

I be nice.....

The little one in the middle likes to boss us all around. Here is a picture of his "I be nice." face. He likes to be exceptionally sweet and adorable, after he is extraordinarily naughty....(this photo was taken shortly after he had just pulled both of his brothers hair, and then wanted to apologize with a yummy two armed hug followed by "I sorry, I be nice")

counting down to when the terrible 2's and then tyrannical 3's stages will be over.......

The warm sun decided to show it's face, so we ran to the nearest beach....(our beaches are not that warm and not that sunny, so we take what we can get)

nothing I enjoy more then watching these boys dig in the sand, (they could for hours)

run along the beach

and attempt to swim in possibly the most freezing cold water.

once upon a time

Once upon a time a newborn was born....

Then he turned 1

and before we knew it he turned 2.....and he just keeps growing and growing and going!

And we keeping lovin and lovin him....

*his due date was May 2nd but luckily for me he came April 17th and healthy. So I figured we can still acknowledge his birthday even if I am 3 weeks late....

Kentucky Derby

They call it the fastest 2 minutes in sports.....what's not to love about a sporting event that doesn't take all day and includes dressing up, wearing ridiculous hats, placing bets and enjoying fabulous food?

It's always good to have friends who could be professional party planners. These girls went all out. The attention to detail was amazing. From the roses to the table settings to the individual programs. They downloaded the actual program, so we had the horses name, number, jockey and the odds of them winning. We got to make our bets. It was fun to enjoy all their hard work and clever planning. Thanks girls it was simply splendid....even if I did come stag, because I made Mark take the middle boys to their tennis match.

time please freeze???

Feeling a little melancholy and so what do I do? Go through old pictures of my kids.....

And realize how time refuses to stand still....this picture was taken a year ago and these two look so young. I want to freeze them, yet so glad they are growing and learning. I try and enjoy each moment, yet the moments can be so fleeting.....
