Beach trip
What to bring:
sweatshirts, blankets, towels, lots of junk food and many kids.

You just never know what the weather will be at these Northern Ca. beaches. Weather.com said it was going to be sunny and 80 degrees. I don't think so. Good thing we packed lots of sweatshirts and kids that don't mind overcast cool weather. They still had a great time even though it was pretty foggy and kind of chilly. They played in the sand, hiked some cliffs, played frisbee, paddle ball and Jacob even swam in the water.

Cousins

There must be something in that Utah water because I flew out there with two kids and flew home with 6 kids. We looked like the average family in Utah, but coming home to CA was another story. We were a sight on the airplane. Actually it was quite easy with my little nanny (Anna) helping me. Every mom needs a nice 14 year old girl to help out. I told Anna we'd play a game on the airplane if people asked me if they were all my kids I would tell them they'd have to guess which kids were mine and which were hers. I don't know if she liked that game, but hello the girl looks much older then 14.
We had lots of fun cousin time while we were there. Christian and his cousin Soren were able to attend BYU Basketball camp. We also had fun with out other cousins, but unfortunately I didn't have my camera when we were with them.

We were sitting at the airport waiting for our flight and I look over at these adorable boys (my 3 plus one of my brothers ). I think the picture explains itself. They are blackberry users in training. All these portable electronic devices and games are just preparing their thumb skills for when they are grown men and constantly on their blackberries. (their poor wives)

I am looking forward to....

I am looking forward to seeing some of my favorite people who are coming to visit me this summer. Have you ever had people that come into your life at the right time and for the right reasons????
I have been blessed to have many people that come into my life that feel like family. Here are a few of them that are coming to visit this summer. I have 2 other friends coming to visit, but I don't seem to have a picture of them on my computer. So I will have to dig some up so that I can post them.

Even though we all live in different places now, we bonded at a time when we were just getting our families started. At the time we each had one child and we would drag them all over the place, to go sight seeing, go to lunch, play at the park, shopping or whatever. Now 17 children later, we still have just as much fun when we get all together. It's just a whole lost noisier and crazy with all the kids running around.

Martha's Vineyard

This is the plane that took us from Boston to Martha's Vineyard. I knew it was going to be a small plane, maybe like a 20 seater. I didn't realize it was going to be a 8 seater Cessna. I had to stop thinking of JFK Jr. and remind myself that he was a novice pilot and it was very stormy that fateful night. I was just glad it was a sunny day and the pilot had gray hair which means to me that he must be somewhat experienced at what he does. After I got over the initial shock of the tiny airplane I was suppose to fly with my tiny baby, it was actually a really smooth flight and the view was amazing.

We got to the resort and this was the view from the front of the resort. It was so picturesque.
I enjoyed walking around the town of Edgartown and looking at all the beautiful homes, cute shops and stopping to enjoy a lobster roll. If you ever find yourself in New England you must try them, they are the yummiest sandwiches. I think I had one every day while I was there.

Here I am with my sweetie. These work retreats are actually work with a little play for him, but they are total vacations for me. So while I come home all relaxed and refreshed he usually doesn't. Ethan was a wonderful travel partner and did very well on the flights. I am glad I went even though I was worried about taking him so far and on such a long flight, but as you can see from the photo he was a dream baby!! Thank you Mormor for taking such good care of the boys. I didn't worry about them at all, because I knew they were in the best care. In fact I was so relaxed I even forgot to call sometimes to check in.
