What I learned

So I have been under house arrest for the past four days. In my efforts to stop the spreading of germs to other people I have kept kids home, only to find out that the fevers they had were caused by ear infections and not the pig flu. This is what I learned this week:
1. I am not really good at actually staying at home.
2. I have been extremely unproductive all week.
3. The next time my 19 month old is completely cranky all the time I will look in his mouth to see if he is teething, rather then take him to the Dr. and have the doctor tell me he has 4 molars coming in at the same time....thus the cranky, whiny, sleepless baby.
4. And when we get our next round of fevers I won't assume they are super sick and I will Motrin them up and send them to school, gym day care, etc for my own sanity.

over and out............................

Hold your breath and cry

This little guy has been doing something lately, that quite frankly scares me. So if anyone is familiar with this maybe you could give me some advice. He's a hold your breath crier, never had any of my other kids do this. It happened a few times this week, once while we were at dr. office getting flu shots. The dr. told me not to let him do this and informed me that kids use this as a way to control and manipulate and that if they don't stop when they are young they will continue as they get older and it gets more serious. Excuse me I didn't think I was letting him do it, it just kind of happened. And then she offered no solutions or help with her wonderful advice. So now I all have is this fear he is gonna do it and rather then just turn blue, that he might actually pass out and that scares me. I don't do well with passing out. So I am looking for tips and info. on how to stop him from holding his breath while crying. I blow on his face and tell him to breath. Anything else I should do???

Thank you Denae

Thank you for being a talented photographer. You were patient, with four little boys and a husband who refused to do certain poses. You were calm even during all the screaming from the unruly 18 month old whose sole purpose was to exhaust us and make us all sweat. Thank you, I love them all!!!

Guess the costume?

See if you can guess what all these people are dressed up as. Click on the collage and you can see the pictures a little larger. Whoever gets all of them correct will receive a wonderful and much coveted prize (all my left over Halloween candy). And by the way that is a wig on me, no I didn't cut my hair. All night everyone thought it was my hair because apparently my hair color is similair to the wig hair color.

We are really ridiculous

I agree, we really are ridiculous, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Someone decided to abandon me and not wear his Jon and Kate plus 8 attire, (I guess he was just trying to be true to his character and not go with the show) Any who, when our neighbor offered up these nice mullets how could we refuse?? Right, I mean doesn't everyone wish they were in an 80's rock band? And how awesome is my hot pink vinyl jacket? (it almost feels like leather) You too can have one for $7.99 at Ross. I think I will need to wear it around town.

My little dragon

After a little scream fit he actually let us keep the dragon costume on him. Don't worry I have like 4 other costumes that he will need to wear before this holiday is through. And apparently the other two older boys costumes weren't good enough for me to take pictures of???
Mr. Bones, has been wearing his red skeleton costume everyday. He is enamoured with it. It actually has a really scary mask that goes with it and I can hardly stand for him to wear it because he is too sweet to wear something so horrifying.

See if you Can Guess...

Last year for Halloween Mark and I decided to be a celebrity couple that was constantly in the tabloids (Brad and Angelina). This year I thought we'd be another current paparazzi crazed couple.

See if you can guess what we are going to be, and if you can please give some input on ways we can really make the costume authentic.

Here are the clues:
Someone will be wearing a super graphic Ed Hardy T-shirt and perhaps some diamond stud earrings. Another one of us will be sporting a choppy new hair do. We will need to insure there is lots of fighting about money and reality tv shows, quarreling about kids and rude comments between us. Yeah, that was kind of easy.
